Many forces in our culture, which could properly be described as elite and privileged, have begun invoking a mantra- essentially an incantation with trappings of religiosity- consisting primarily of three words: diversity, equity, inclusion. These words especially emanate from the mouths and pens of the "woke" in academia, partisan political circles, corporate-financial-globalist interests, the celebrity world, university students, government bureaucracies at all levels and, increasingly, the military hierarchy. They are vacuous words, of course, used by people who shouldn’t have vacuous minds, but nevertheless tend to frame their thoughts with slogans and chants. I suspect if one of them were asked, for example, “What do you mean by ‘diversity?” the answer might be, ”People who don’t look like me. Diversity is our strength!” Does “equity” imply equality of opportunity or mandated outcomes, regardless of effort? Do those who demand “inclusion” embrace people who have contrary beliefs and opinions, or those they otherwise deplore?
This mantra has been incubating and evolving for many years, but its prominence greatly accelerated with the killing of George Floyd in May of 2020, and the many opportunities his death afforded, such as the power and money amassed by the elite black racialists of “Black Lives Matter.” If a mantra can be considered to be underlying principles, so to speak, then associated slogans are often calls to action, for example, “No Justice! No Peace!” or “defund” the police!” While mantras and slogans can be emotionally satisfying, they really shouldn’t form a foundation for law and social policy, and certainly not by those who are given authority over such things, yet sadly, and often with horrific consequences, they do. With this in mind, let’s consider a sobering historical fact and how it is applicable to today.

Another great article, Reid, and so heart breaking to say the least. …and it is very heart breaking to look at those children who were murdered for no good reason. The left has given way to violence at any level with no apparent recourse for these horrific actions. In terms of the left, if you are good, you are bad; if you are bad, you are considered good. I know these people have hearts for their own family and friends, but apparently don’t care about anyone else…no one else matters, just their agenda; and that is to strip this country and everyone in it, who opposes them, by taking control of every aspect that ever made this country great. If that were to happen, though, what would happen to them? Perhaps they would be subjected to their own evil misfortunes…by those they are (so to speak) in bed with, perhaps?!? I think they would be turning on each other at some point! …are they too stupid to realize that likelihood? Power is power!
Communism is certainly being spread throughout and it is a sad time for everyone who loves freedom, justice and self-reliance. I know we will beat this war against all freedom loving citizens because we cannot and will not stand for this. So many things are happening behind the scenes to rid this nation of this anti-American plaque. We are strong, we are brave and we will win! It may take months, but I believe we will take our country back. My dad and all the military who have gone before us to protect and defend, did not suffer or die in vain.
I always wondered why black people could possibly be angry at this point in time. Our forefathers (Native Americans, French and British Revolutionaries and Black Slaves) all suffered the consequences of war to protect and defend.) This country and all citizens have a far better life because of the sacrifices they made.
When I see people who just want to live off the fat of the land, have no desire to pitch in or help out, or to encourage their youth to be self-reliant and productive in the many ways already available, I just want to scream: WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE. We have always had more than what we need and yet, we cry for more. If we don’t learn to appreciate what we have, and don’t appreciate others for the mere fact that we all share the same homeland, then what will become of us. Many hands make less work. I don’t mind helping out where there’s a need, but if someone can help themselves, then by all means, do it! To cry racism when it doesn’t even exist outside of fabrications to create unrest in order to overthrow the country, to create a woke society that is so bizarre and makes no sense and to give illegals the rights to our monies and benefits for no purpose other than, again, to overthrow this nation, then those who support these so-called misguided ideas need to wake up. I guess its up to each and every God-fearing person and Freedom Loving Citizen to fight back and not give up or give in. I sometimes hope all this nonsense is just a fad that will eventually burn itself out.
I do have hope and I pray everyday for this great nation to be united once again against the evils of our time and with God at the helm, I’m certain our prayers will be answered, and this nation will be great again! God Bless and help those who have or will suffer from the ignorance and arrogance, greed and corruption of our time by those who allow murderers to continue the rampage, abortion to kill our unborn, to give voice and power to corrupt public officials. God Bless all freedom loving citizens because we do have a lot of work ahead of us! Make no mistake, however, if we do what we need to do to protect and defend, I honestly believe we will succeed, eventually!!!

I'm not sure which I appreciated more. Reid's article or Carol Ann's comment.
Both spot on.

Good job, Reid! You are saying what too few in academia and media are afraid of or ashamed of saying.
