Many forces in our culture<\/strong>, which could properly be described as elite and privileged, have begun invoking a mantra- essentially an incantation with trappings of religiosity- consisting primarily of three words: diversity, equity, inclusion.<\/em> These words especially emanate from the mouths and pens of the \"woke\" in academia, partisan political circles, corporate-financial-globalist interests, the celebrity world, university students, government bureaucracies at all levels and, increasingly, the military hierarchy. They are vacuous words, of course, used by people who shouldn\u2019t<\/em> have vacuous minds, but nevertheless tend to frame their thoughts with slogans and chants. I suspect if one of them were asked, for example, \u201cWhat do you mean by \u2018diversity?\u201d the answer might be, \u201dPeople who don\u2019t look like me. Diversity is our strength!\u201d Does \u201cequity\u201d imply equality of opportunity or mandated outcomes, regardless of effort? Do those who demand \u201cinclusion\u201d embrace people who have contrary beliefs and opinions, or those they otherwise deplore?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This mantra has been incubating and evolving for many years, but its prominence greatly accelerated with the killing of George Floyd in May of 2020, and the many opportunities his death afforded, such as the power and money amassed by the elite black racialists of \u201cBlack Lives Matter.\u201d  If a mantra can be considered to be underlying principles, so to speak, then associated slogans are often calls to action, for example, \u201cNo Justice! No Peace!\u201d or \u201cdefund\u201d the police!\u201d While mantras and slogans can be emotionally satisfying, they really<\/em> shouldn\u2019t form a foundation for law and social policy, and certainly not by those who are given authority over such things, yet sadly, and often with horrific consequences, they do. With this in mind, let\u2019s consider a sobering historical fact and how it is applicable to today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

There is an entity sometimes called the \u201clynching era\u201d that took place roughly between 1880 and 1960. While many non-black people were lynched, we\u2019ve come to associate it with vile oppression of blacks at the hands of despicable and cowardly white racists, often of the Ku Klux Klan type. During the 80-year \u201clynching era\u201d approximately 3,500 blacks were murdered in this manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keeping this figure in mind, let\u2019s consider the events following the killing of George Floyd, which have variously been described as \u201cpeaceful protests\u201d and \u201criots and looting,\u201d depending on one\u2019s view: the property damage estimate is in the $2 billion range, which gives credence to the \u201criots and looting\u201d perspective. But more importantly, we now have the statistics to see one awful aspect of the human cost in the post-George Floyd era- the number of murders committed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be prefaced that murders typical occur within racial groupings, for example, of whites murdered, about 80% are murdered by other white people, and blacks are typically in the low 90% range. Overall murder rates, measured using the standard of per 100,000 people, steadily increased from the late 1960s and reached a zenith in 1980 at 10.2. They remained distressingly high until a gradual drop in the new century, so that, for example, it was 4.5 in 2013 and 2014; in the immediate pre<\/em>-George Floyd year of 2019 it was 5.0. In 2020, the greatest increase in recorded history occurred, with the rate climbing to 7.8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In actual numbers, keeping in mind that approximately 13% of the US population is black, in 2020 there were a total of about 17,500 murders, and roughly 10,000<\/em> of these victims were black, meaning about 57% of all victims of murder were black and, with some statistical extrapolation, at least 9,100 of these were killed by other blacks. Think about this: now in America, every 4 to 5 months the number of black people murdered by other blacks is equal to the total number of black people murdered during the entire<\/em> 80-some year lynching era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In researching this article I came across an \"anti-gun website, (gunmemorial.org) which lists names and photos (where available) of all those murdered by firearms by state. The page I happened to open was for Mississippi and, for the 3 month period July 2021-September 2021, had 103 entries; while 17 had no photo associated, 67 of the 103 were black. That is truly astounding, not just for the lack of racial diversity of victims, but because these killings are ignored by those whose mantra is \u201cdiversity, equity, inclusion<\/em>.\u201d Their narrative is that the mostly mythical \u201cwhite supremacists\u201d are the \u201cgreatest domestic threat,\u201d and they are more than willing to sacrifice thousands upon thousands of black lives to maintain this narrative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though a plurality, or more likely a majority, of this violence and death is young black males killing other young black males, a sickening number of children are collateral damage, so to speak. Not just collateral damage done by bullets, but by all of the heartless and self-involved grandstanding elite who spout the mantra of \u201cdiversity, equity, inclusion<\/em>.\u201d Here are a few of their faces, faces of 10 murdered black children ignored by the Democrats in their lust for the mantra \"diversity, equity, inclusion<\/em>;\" kids 10 years of age or less, killed in July, August, or Sept 2021 in different locations in the US:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
