I am far from the mindset of \"police can do no wrong,\" but to concentrate only on the small fraction of black people killed by police - sometimes truly in cold blood- and ignore the 1,000s upon 1,000s of black people murdered by other black people demonstrates that, to the elite, black lives really don't matter)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

LeBron James <\/strong>is a black basketball player of renown with a net worth in 2025 around $1.2 billion<\/u><\/a>. In April 2021 he posted on Twitter, in part, \u201cI\u2019m so damn tired of seeing Black people killed by police.\u201d This was in response to a shooting of a 16-year-old black female by a white Columbus, OH cop. The associated headline on NPR (4\/21\/21) stated, \u201cColumbus Police Shoot And Kill Black Teenage Girl,\u201dand their URL for this story was, \u201c16-year-old-black-girl-who-called-for-help-fatally-shot-by-police-ohio-family-sa<\/a>id.\u201d<\/u><\/a> It wasn\u2019t until the 8th<\/sup> paragraph that NPR mentioned something kind of pertinent, which will be discussed in a moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other headlines included (CNN) \u201c Ma\u2019Khia Bryant was shot 4 times by officer, autopsy shows,\u201d and the Columbus Dispatch newspaper \u201cMa'Khia Bryant was helpful and kind, her friends and family say.\u201d Lebron James preceded his \u201cI\u2019m so damn tired...\u201d post by one that included a photo of the cop involved and stated \"YOU'RE NEXT:\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This occurred less than a year after the George Floyd incident, and many were ripe to create an angry racial narrative and run with it. Fortunately the cop involved wore a body cam, and what actually happened varied significantly from the preferred script. The police officer came upon a chaotic scene involving seven people in a driveway, asked \u201cwhat\u2019s going on?\u201d and immediately a woman was pushed to the ground (by Ma'Khia Bryant) and was then kicked by a black male. The cop then saw a large black female (also Ma'Khia Bryant) with a knife lunging toward another black female, and at this point fired his pistol, killing Ma'Khia Bryant. In other words, the policeman saw an aggressive person with a knife about to stab a black female, and acted to protect her life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paradoxically, Lebron James never seems to be \u201cso damn tired\u201d of seeing black people killed by other black people. The existence of \u201cblack on black\u201d crime is nothing new, but following the death of George Floyd in 2020 and all the violence and destruction that ensued, I began looking at the statistics in detail. While it is clear that violent crime tends to remain within races, it is racial proportionality<\/em> that is ignored by the racialist left. To be clear, white people commit an awful lot of violent \u201cwhite-on-white\u201d crime, including murder. While absolute numbers vary, it\u2019s fairly consistent that, of white murders victims<\/em> (whites comprising approx. 60% of the US population), their killers are white about 80% of the time. Also consistent is that of black murder victims<\/em>, roughly 90% of their killers are black (blacks comprising about 13% of the population). This is a significant but not huge difference. But when looking at proportionality, the difference is<\/em> huge: of all murder victims, blacks comprise approximately 52%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Statistics from 2023 show that there were 17,713 murders in total with blacks accounting for 9284 of the victims (www.statista.com\/statistics\/<\/u><\/a>); white victims totaled 7289 (about 41%). We can extrapolate that approximately 8,360 black people were murdered by other black people in 2023. To put this in perspective, during what is referred to as the \u201clynching era (1882-1968),\u201d a little under 3,500 black people were murdered by lynching over 86 years, with the same number of black people murdered by other blacks every 5 or 6 months<\/em> today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be noted that, while the race of a murder victim is pretty much always apparent, the race of the murderer isn\u2019t if that person isn\u2019t apprehended. The 90% figure of black-on-black murder has been consistent for many years, and is mentioned in a Nov. 2024 article in the very leftist, black-owned newspaper, The Washington Informer (https:\/\/www.washingtoninformer.com\/black-on-black-crime-robbery-shooting\/<\/a>). In terms of black people killed by police, the total from 2023 was 249, with whites at 499 (https:\/\/www.statista.com\/<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is an obvious conundrum: black people murder other black people in disturbing numbers, yet Lebron James is only \u201cdamn tired\u201d of black people being killed by police. The dynamics to explain this are both complex and simple. The latter include the ugly side of human nature: exploiting certain people or groups for money, power, and celebrity. There is a racialist (and to me, odious ) \u201ccivil rights\u201d lawyer named Ben Crump who seems to show up every time there is a controversial and well-publicized killing of a black person (Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Michael Brown). Civil rights lawyering has proven lucrative for him, amassing a considerable net worth (estimates vary widely from a meager $10 million, to a believable $35 million, and a less believable $300 million). James, Crump, and pretty much every \u201cracial justice\u201d demagogue have in common a desire to incite outrage among the gullible black masses, perceiving themselves to be among the \u201ctalented tenth,\u201d a phrase coined by black academic and activist WEB Du Bois over 100 years ago, to separate the black elite from the other 90%: the black ignoramus class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other than simple greed, etc, there are more complex factors, including a sense of guilt. Consider a progressive and affluent white person with a well-paying but nebulous job and replete with the trappings of success (material wealth, exotic vacations, an EV as a second car). At some level he, she, or they realize they have lots of (white) privilege that wasn\u2019t really earned. Their lives are vacuous but they are addicted to comfort, convenience, materialism, and approbation from their peers. In order to assuage their guilt they have delusions of being activists for social justice, racial justice, ad nauseam, and find themselves chanting slogans and making demands: activism that makes them feel good without expending much money or effort. They are the people who attend the Hands Off! and No Kings! rallies and capitalize the \u201cb\u201d in black, thinking \u201dI\u2019m making a difference!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The progressive racialist establishment, regardless of skin color, advocates for measures that enhance their political and cultural power and are not interested in even considering the causes of black intraracial crime and violence. They, for example, see a disproportionate number of incarcerated young black men and never ask why so many commit a disproportionate number of crimes (to do so would require an uncomfortable look in the mirror), but declare the justice system is racist. Their solutions include decriminalizing traditional offenses, electing not <\/em>to prosecute crimes, and diminishing the funding and ability of the police to enforce the law. That these practices wreak havoc in the black communities is not an issue- they tend to see blacks as a feckless and incapable race- and are more than willing to sacrifice the lives of black people for their own aggrandizement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The threat of \u201cwhite supremacists,\u201d so highly publicized during the Biden years, is largely a myth: a relative handful of total losers devoting their lives to playing video games, lamenting that they can\u2019t find chicks, and interacting in social media echo chambers with their fellow losers. Ironically, if they did <\/em>possess power and wanted to harm black people, they would be wise to follow the strategy of black lives matter mindset, and just sit back and watch the black corpses pile up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is truly a shame that Lebron James, who undoubtedly is a powerful force in the black community, doesn't use is wealth and prestige to address the social pathology too often found in black neighborhoods, where the voices of average people expressing fear of crime and violence are ignored by the elite. Recently I mentioned the numbers reality of black murder to a friend of many decades, using the figure of around 8,000 blacks murdered by other blacks yearly. I asked how many black people he thought were murdered\/killed by whites and police, and he replied, \"a lot more than that.\" In other words, this educated and intelligent person somehow accepted into his belief system as fact something that is grossly in error. This explains a lot about societal disarray, and emphasizes that questioning narratives, whether they please us or not, is the smart thing to do. Here is a disturbing video (in this case involving a white victim, Daniel Shaver) of an unjustified police killing- it does happen. This worst part begins at around 3:20- <\/p>\n\n\n\n
